"Gardening requires lots of water - most of it in the form of perspiration."
"What is the use of a book", thought Alice, "without pictures or conversations?"
Ah... the innocence of childhood.
Sorry, I spent so many nights last week playing catch up after my trip to Minneapolis, but I'm back this week and I'll share details and pictures later this week.
"The friend who holds your hand and says the wrong thing is made of dearer stuff than the one who stays away."
I'll be visiting with my dear friend, Kiy, in Minneapolis this week so I may not be able to visit to see all the quotes until Wednesday! Just give me time though, I'll be there. Don't forget to enter the giveaway!
This week's Friday I'm In Love is a bit biased, because my sister finally opened an Etsy shop, alfadís photography (rather reopened). I love her photographs, I have a few around my house and I hope you don't mind me sharing them with you. Plus, she's giving away one to a reader, details below!
Both of these photos were taken in Iceland on our trip in 2004, and Woman in the Wood is in a frame in my office. These are both available in her etsy shop. She's also recently started her own blog, so please go over and say hi to her!
My sister has graciously offered to give a reader a 5x7 photo, you can choose one of the three below. So, leave a comment letting me know which you would like and she'll draw the winner next Friday, May 8th at 6pm PST to give people plenty of time to enter.

Are you doing anything special for May Day? Making May Day baskets for your neighbors? Making crowns of daisy chains? Unfortunately, it's a little too early to be able to pick flowers and deliver them in Grand Forks, but I'd love to know if you are able to do anything where you live.
I just love this picture of all the May baskets lined up on the fence. Are they awaiting delivery? I imagine that they are.

Would you like to make your own May Baskets? Here's a template I created just for my readers. Clicking on it will bring up a hi-res version in Adobe PDF format for printing.
Just want to say a quick thank you to Jason and Alexis from myTalk 107.1 for sharing my post! I hope everyone had a lovely May Day!
